New Haven: Blood Feuds
Description: The Apollinaire have an ancient pact with Ghede, the loa of death and keeper of the eternal crossroads. For one night a year, Ghede gives up his charge as Lord of the Dead to the Apollinaire. On that night, the Apollinaire take up his burden and patrol the shadowy borders between life and death, fighting back the dead who attempt to cross into the world of the living while their lord is absent. In exchange, they gain some of his power.
When not actively serving Ghede, the Apollinaire are free to do as they wish, and thus they vie for power in the city just as anybody else. Most of the Apollinaire are also Voudousants, and so, the Invictus(And other more traditional vampires) often looks upon them with disdain.
City Politics: Feeling the judging eye of the Invictus automatically pushes the Apollinaire in the other direction – Circle of the Crone. The Circle of the Crone accepts them under it’s umbrella as a splinter wing. Some of the Apollinaire do try and make a place for themselves among the Invictus, but it rarely works out. —
